TRAINING & CAPACITY BUILDING -
TTO@BCIL has been set up with support from Department of Biotechnology - Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council - National Biopharma Mission (DBT-BIRAC-NBM). TTO@BCIL leverages three decades of experience of BCIL in technology transfer to undertake innovation management and technology transfer for all autonomous research institutes of DBT as well as all DBT funded extramural projects.
Capacity building is taken up regularly by the TTO@BCIL with the objective of sensitizing the scientists, research scholars, post-doctoral fellows and students on the various aspects of Intellectual Property management, subsequent technology transfer and other techno-legal work in biotechnology industry.
With view of the above, TTO@BCIL has organized a series of webinar on diverse topics related to Biotechnology industry. These webinars have presentations by leading experts in the area of life sciences/ biotechnology followed by interactive sessions with participants.

TTO@BCIL organized a Webinar on “What is Sufficiency of Disclosure in Biotech Inventions & Implications of Insufficient Description in a Patent Application” from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. on 27th June, 2025 (IST). The objective of the webinar was to sensitize scientists, researchers, faculty and others IP enthusiasts towards the changing vertices of Indian Patent law.
