BCIL, in collaboration with International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Entrepreneurial Opportunities for ICGEB Research Students” on November 26, 2024, at ICGEB, New Delhi. The event brought together distinguished experts and aspiring innovators to explore the transformative potential of entrepreneurship in biotechnology. The workshop featured an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Ramesh V.
Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at BCIL successfully transferred a very promising technology “A Process for Preparation of Para-menthane-3,8-diols Enriched Citronella Oil," developed at the BRIC- National Agri-Food Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI), Mohali. This technology involves preparation of a natural, low-cost broad-spectrum insect repellent which is effective against mosquitoes and other insects including agricultural insects.
TTO@BCIL participated in the National Biopharma Mission Conclave showcasing the impact the NBM over the last 5 years. Dr. Purnima Sharma, MD, BCIL was invited to be a part of an expert panel on “Powering the ecosystem for next gen innovation – tech transfer, skills, infrastructure”.
