NIPER, Ahmedabad and BCIL executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in the areas of innovation management, technology transfer, industry collaborations, entrepreneurship development etc. The MoA was executed by Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER-Ahmedabad and Dr. Purnima Sharma, MD, BCIL in presence of senior faculty members in a ceremony organized by NIPER-Ahmedabad.

The session featured a n overview of key aspects of IP management, nuances of technology transfer, various licensing modes, supported by real world case studies.

The panel discussed the movement of biomedical innovations from research labs to real world while emphasizing on the fact that successful technology transfer depends on a multitude of factors such as scalability, market readiness, procurement options, and clear healthcare need.
Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at BCIL successfully transferred a promising technology, “Green compounding technology for production of antibacterial polymer nanocomposites” developed at the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar. This technology involves the preparation of antibacterial polymers via a green compounding technology in supercritical fluids with varied applications. It has been developed by Prof.
BCIL was invited to conduct a sensitization session for faculty members, students, and start-up stakeholders on “IP Essentials for Research-Driven Start-ups” during a Bootcamp organized by Dr. Bansi Dhar Institute on 5th Feb 2026. Dr. Nidhi Chaubey, Sr. IP Manager, BCIL, delivered presentation focusing on key aspects of IP relevant to start-ups, government funding schemes for start-ups and factors contributing towards strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

GSBTM and BCIL executed an MoA in the areas of innovation management and technology transfer aiming to drive forward the future of research commercialization and industry partnerships.
